Mike Walker

Program Associate - Detroit

Mike is a proud Michigan native. He calls Detroit home and is dedicated to improving the health and quality of Detroit’s housing. Prior to working with GHHI, Mike operated AHA Home Assessments/Inspection LLC as a Certified Home Inspector working with Community Based Organizations throughout the city of Detroit and greater metropolitan Detroit area. He is passionate about the work that GHHI does in his community, and with combining direct practice with policy advocacy to see sustainable change in all Detroit communities. Mike is a fully trained and certified home inspector and a professional property inspector.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time in the kitchen (he spent years as a Certified Executive Chef!). He is also a musician and enjoys writing songs and performing live.
