Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, in partnership with Health Management Associates, is pleased to present this white paper, Potential Medicaid Strategies to Improve Services to Children at Risk of Lead Exposure, which provides guidance to policymakers and advocates on how Medicaid policy can be used to strengthen lead poisoning prevention efforts. This includes increasing screening rates of children, supporting environmental lead investigations, collecting consistent data for surveillance, and setting up incentives and requirements for Managed Care Organizations.
