Pay for Success Advancements for Health Programs Continue through Green & Healthy Homes Initiative
Baltimore, MD October 5, 2018 — The Green & Healthy Homes Initiative (GHHI) is pleased to announce the selection of six award recipients to receive funding and technical assistance services for Pay for Success project development through a 2016 Social Innovation Fund award from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS): Richmond City Health District (Richmond, VA); People Working Cooperatively (Cincinnati, OH); Integra Community Care Network, LLC (Rhode Island); Baylor College of Medicine, (Houston, TX); green|spaces, (Chattanooga, TN); and UMass Memorial Health Care (Massachusetts).
Through the generous funding support from CNCS, the organizations will be able to develop and implement groundbreaking projects that will provide in-home resident education and housing interventions that address asthma triggers for children or install home-based fall prevention measures to prevent household injuries for older aged adults. These services will lead to better health and quality of life outcomes for low income children, families and seniors.
Pay for Success has proven to be a mechanism that can provide innovative funding solutions and through these services will positively impact families and serve as a catalyst for improving the quality of housing that contribute to asthma episodes for children and falls in the home for aging adults.

About the Corporation for National and Community Service
The Social Innovation Fund was a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service that received funding from 2010 to 2016. Using public and private resources to find and grow community-based nonprofits with evidence of results, SIF intermediaries received funding to award subgrants that focus on overcoming challenges in economic opportunity, healthy futures, and youth development. Although CNCS made its last SIF intermediary awards in fiscal year 2016, SIF intermediaries will continue to administer their subgrant programs until their federal funding is exhausted.
