Sharon Hyde

Memphis-Shelby County, Tennessee Housing Program Manager

Sharon Hyde serves as the Memphis-Shelby County, Tennessee, Housing Program Manager. She works with local partners to align, braid and coordinate home interventions to make homes healthy, safe and sustainable.

Sharon is a lifelong resident of Memphis and before coming to GHHI worked in the lead and healthy housing field as Shelby County Housing’s Program Manager for their Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Grant. Sharon was with Shelby County during seven rounds of HUD funding, beginning with the County receiving HUD Lead funding in 1993.

Sharon received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Memphis. She has also attended the University of Tennessee’s County Officials Certification Program, and State Tech’s Business, Industry and Government program, graduating with her Principles of TQU and Customer Service Certification. Sharon is a licensed/certified Lead Hazard Control Inspector, Risk Assessor and Supervisor, licensed under Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC).

Having a daughter with severe asthma and eczema, Sharon understands the importance of safe and healthy homes and wants to help other families ensure their children can live in homes that enable them to grow and thrive.
