Tene Lewis
Program Officer, Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program
Tene Lewis is a Program Manager for GHHI’s Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program, where she focuses on identifying and providing grants and technical support to individuals and organizations across the Washington Metropolitan area.
A dedicated advocate for families affected by environmental injustices, Tene has served as a Volunteer Leader with the Campaign to Reduce Lead Exposure and as a Steering Committee member of the District of Columbia’s Environmental Justice Coalition where she has organized community engagement events and secured funding and resources for various initiatives.
Tene holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development from Bowie State University.
